[ note that this is all in the point of view of the captain, Agent Wolfe [Kirin Ray Wolfe] [Captain Wolfe] so try not to get confused. ]
I awoke with a start. My whole body shaking, I turned to look at one of my boys shaking me. "Wolfe! Get up!'' He yelled as he shook me. I narrowed my eyes and bared my teeth at him, growling. He backed up slowly. Clearly frightened at my sudden change in moods. '' You alright Wolfe, I can get a medic for you if you need one.'' He asked me as I sat up in bed. I shook my head, watching him slowly back away. He was looking at me like I was going to eat him. I might. I mean you never wake a sleeping bear, so why wake a sleeping Wolfe? He reached for the door handle when I decided to speak. ''Don't breathe a word of this. Got it soldier?'' I snapped standing up, and taking a step towards him. The soldiers body shook with fear, and he reeked of it as well. He nodded quickly before opening the door and going out. I bit my lip, regretting I showed my true form to him. I absent-mindedly raised a hand up to my chest where I could feel the groves of the cut I had gotten from some wolf years ago on one of my recon missions. I shook my head feeling a surge of anger wash over me as I sat down in my bed and slammed a fist into the desk beside me. I flinched when I heard it crack and groan from under my fist. I hadn't meant to hit it that hard, I just got mad, that's all.
I jumped when I heard the alarm go off. Throwing on my shirt, I jogged out of my room, hoping no one would pass by and see the indent I left on the desk. I rushed that aside and ran for the main conference room. I'd be needed there, knowing this alarm was for something important. I ran up the stairs, not taking the elevator for it was painfully slow and I needed to loose the excess energy I had stored up in me. Scaling the rest of the stairs, I ran for the conference room. Showing my I'd to the guards and walking Inside. I tried not to pant, but it was hard trying not to pant when you need to catch your breath. I sat down in my chair before watching the others come in. I saluted to them before closing my eyes, to calm the rage of adrenaline that was coursing through my veins. I tried controlled my wolf. Keeping him at bay was a top priority of mine because no one else knew about this. Only my team, including the soldier that had come into my room knew what happened. But didn't know of what it did to me. I remember that day well though.
I was walking through the woods with my team. We were looking for a possible threat to the government. A terrorist who we thought was working with one of our guys and was trying to shut us down. They injected random soldiers with this shot. It drove them mad as soon as the fluid hit their bloodstream. They kept claiming of a burning pain and howling. One of my friends was hit with it. He kept howling, snapping his teeth at people and growling. But when I was around he acted fine. Nothing out of the ordinary. One night we were working on a report due before dawn. He was fidgety and looking around constantly, and I swore his eyes were flickering between Brown and gold. I jumped when he stood up and howled. It was the first time I had seen this. I never believed any other person, thinking they were just doing this to work me up. But no I see that they were right. He looked at me, baring his teeth and growling at me. I wasn't sure what was going on, but my hand was reaching for my holstered gun. He snarled at me making a move to bring me down by I got out of the way. I turned away from the flying pieces of glass when he jumped through the window, shattering it. He ran for the woods around our base. Howling like mad. I jumped as one of the guards came in suddenly gun raised. I didn't know what he was doing until he shot me in the shoulder. Taking me down. I blacked out before I could scream at him. I woke up in a bed, tied down like an animal. I looked around, seeing that guard and the general. He walked over to me slowly frowning. ''All you had to do was tell us. Your infected and you killing people'' He said. Realization hit me, they thought I was the one howling and smashing glass. ''I'm not infected? I'm. Not the one killing people. Let me go!'' I snapped fighting against the restraints. I slipped my hand out from under the strap and unhooked my upper body from the straps. Only to be pushed down again by the guard. I fought against him, and won, sending him to the floor and taking the restraints off the rest of my body. I rubbed my wrists, frowning at them. ''Look for evidence before trying someone up like an animal. In the mean time I'm going to look for my friend.'' I snapped as I stepped over the guard and brushed past the general. My body shook as I remembered that. Looking around I searched for the terrorist. I stopped seeing paw prints lining the ground. Taking the safety off my gun, I looked around, alert and ready as I heard growling from around me. My team wasn't around me, we had split up so we could cover more ground. I froze when my friend stepped out from the woods. Glaring at me with a wild look in his eyes. ''Logan?'' I asked, watching him carefully. He acted as if he didn't remember me. Logan jumped at me snarling and changing into a brown wolf before me. He dug his claws into my chest, pushing me down to the ground, as I cried out, firing my gun. The dead body of my friend laid on top of me. There was this stinging and burning pain in my chest and neck. Where he had clawed and bit me. My team was calling for me, but their voices were fading. I saw them c o me running though the trees. I blacked out as I heard someone scream.
''Kirin. Kirin. Hey you alright?'' I heard the general say as I snapped out of my trance. I realized I was shaking, no, more like trembling and I felt hot. Something wet slid a path down my face and I realized I was sweating. My hands were shaking and I looked around as the room came into better view. Everyone was looking at me, their faces held looks of concern and confusion. I felt a slight pang of embarrassment as I realized how stupid I was acting. I listened as the general spoke again. ''Someone get Kirin something cold to drink. And get a medic in here.'' He bellowed as he looked at me with narrowed eyes. One of the guards left and came back with a medic and a glass of water. The water I took and drank a little bit of it. I stiffened and bit my tongue as the medic placed her cold hand on my forehead. Determined to take my temperature. She looked at me, and then grabbed a thermometer from her pack. She took it and gasped, looking at me with a mixture of shock, horror, and wonder in her eyes. The general looked UN happy. ''Well, what's the verdict? Why's he shaking like this. What wrong with him.'' He asked as the medic turned to face them. ''His temperature. It's incredible. It's 108'' She said. The room went silent and i felt all eyes in my again. The general looked at me, walking over to the medic and glancing at the thermometer. Before he looked at me once more. '' Kirin....How.'' He said asked me, watching me carefully. I didn't like this, I was becoming uncomfortable. ''It's lying. I'm not that hot.'' I retorted, looking away from them.
''Hey General. We got something on the radar. An unknown heading away from the alps.'' One of the operators said, as I heaved a sigh of relief. The general looked at them, walking over to the radar. ''Looks like we do. The alps are cold. Why don't we send Kirin's team out. But Kirin stays here. Well send Cheff out to lead instead.'' He said, looking at me. I felt a feeling of rage rise up in me. ''No one else will take my team out. Except me. I will lead my team.'' I growled, standing up and shooting the general a challenging look. My eyes narrowed and I could see a red haze starting to form over my vision as he shook his head no. ''No Captain. Your not going out. It's too dangerous. That's an order.'' He ground out, knowing I would have to obey. I couldn't stand it any longer, that red haze took over before I had any chance of leashing it down. I jumped at the general pinning him down on the ground. I got nose to nose with him, satisfied with the look of pure terror on his face. I could see my reflection in his wide eyes. My eyes were Amber, not green and my pupils were slitted. ''This is my team! They will not be lead by any other!'' I roared, pulling my lips back from my teeth and baring them at him. I threw my head back and howled, not caring that I had revealed my secret. The secret I had been trying to keep hidden.
I snarled as bullet hit my side, whipping around to see one of the guards coming through the door, gun pointed. I snarled and jumped up running out the door ignoring the calls behind me. I ran down the stairs finally deciding to scale them, jumping and dropping floor to floor. Once I made it down I ran to find my team outside. The watched me, stiffening. I tried to calm down, but it seems they already knew. ''Wolfe!'' The general roared from behind me as I whipped around, snarling. Just then did two of my comrades step in between me and the general, holding their arms out. Casey and Daniel. ''If you want Wolfe, then you going to have to get through us.'' Casey said, his eyes narrowed. I winced as I felt a sharp pain in my side. I looked down, remembering the bullet wound I had gotten. I pulled that out before stumbling back, hitting the hood of a jeep that we used. We used three all together. Daniel looked back at me, casting a worried glance at me. I closed my eyes, panting and groaning as the pain wouldn't stop. Daniel narrowed his eyes and looked back at the general. ''We're all going together. Including Wolfe. We've been through hell together and made it back together. We're nor splitting up now.'' He said, as Casey came over to me and threw my arm over his shoulder. I leaned on him putting most of my weight on him. He grunted but helped me as he sat me in the backseat of one of out jeeps. ''Easy Wolfe. You'll be alright.'' He said softly as I held my side firmly even as the blood continued to seep through my hand. The general sighed, listening to Daniel and watching Casey help me. ''Fine. Wolfe go. But if you come back as rabid as your friend Logan did. I'm taking the pleasure in shooting you.'' He bit out. I chuckled opening one eye slowly. ''Yeah, between you and the guards I'm a dead man.'' I said, as Daniel chuckled too. The general sighed. '' We last saw this unknown subject head northeast from the Swiss alps. Follow any tracks and get to the bottom of this.'' He said saluting and walking off. Carrie and Jess smiled. ''Road trip!'' They said highfivin' each other. 'Those girls...' I thought as I looked at the rest of my team. adding Gunther, Jonas the silent one, Chris and David. That makes a total of 9. We used to have ten, before Logan went crazy and I killed him. I shivered at that thought. Life just isn't right anymore, not without your friend.

We had left the jeeps behind awhile ago. No my team and I were on foot. Daniel and Casey kept radio contact with the base, reporting where we were, and receiving information in the whereabouts of our subject. I stopped, eyes scanning the mountain side, looking for anything unusually. I continued walking, my eyes passing over a burn mark in the snow. I dismissed it before jumping back to awareness and getting down on one knee to examine the burn closer. ''Daniel, radio the others and tell them to come back. Casey, come here.'' I said as I ran a hand over the burn Mark. It smelled at least a few hours old. 5 at the most. Casey picked up his head and came over, while Daniel radioed everyone else to come back. ''What do we got boss?'' Casey asked placing a hand on my shoulder. I looked up at Casey, grinning. ''I think we just found our subject.'' I said as everyone else came through the trees and towards us. I looked back at the tracks. They seemed to be leading away from the mountains. ''Radio back and tell them their heading away from the alps. And that were going after it.'' I said to Daniel as I stood up and walked forward, following the tracks.
I stopped hearing the general's voice come across my comm. link. ''That's a negative Captain. Well send out a sky patrol to take care of this. Come back and report what you've learned.'' He snapped as I chuckled softly. ''No can do General. With all due respect. I'm not coming back until I have the subject. This is too vague of information to just come back.'' I retorted as my team one by one shut their comm. links off. The general started yelling, but I cut him off. ''Sorry general but I'm going out. Wolfe out.'' I said as I shut my comm. link off. I looked at my team smiling. ''Well talk to each other via our radios. If anything comes up report immediately. I want you all checking in with me every half an hour.'' I said as I continued my venture forward. They nodded, splitting up. ''Pair up. Don't go at it alone.'' I snapped as they all seemed to go off in every other direction. Daniel looked back at me, with a hint of worry in his eyes. ''What about you sir. I mean, Logan's gone now. You sure you'll be alright?'' He asked watching me carefully. I glared at him, but I refrained from growling. ''I'll be alright.'' I replied as I turned to head off. I heard Casey murmur a simple ''be careful Wolfe.'' Before I walked out of view. I followed the tracks, weaving past trees and watching for anything suspicious.
I jumped when Gunther game across my radio. ''Wolfe, looks like the military's issuing a worldwide shut down. Shouldda kept it a secret.'' He said as I figured they had heard it come across their radios. I shook my head baring my teeth at nothing, thinking about how stupid our military was. ''Well sucks to be them. It's too early to tell and issuing it now would cause a worldwide panic.'' I replied as I stopped seeing no more tracks. Only burnt trees. ''Wolfe, I got some dead civilians over here.'' Casey said via radio. ''Yeah me too.'' Jonas' s voice came across the radio as well, sounding worried. ''Wait, this one's alive.'' Jonas said as I figured he was kneeling down to talk to him. There was a moment of silence before Jonas came back on the radio. ''He says some demon thing with a cloak, fire, and bones on it came through.'' Jonas sighed, seeming uneasy about all this. ''Can you get anymore from him?'' I asked, wondering if we should report this or not. I heard Jonas sigh ans curse under his breath. ''If I could Sir, I would. But it's too late. He's dead.'' He bit out, sounding almost sad for the guy. ''What's odd is that my guys seem burnt. Not beaten.'' Casey said, breaking the sorrowful moment. ''Yeah. Mine too.'' Jonas agreed. I sighed trying to take all of this information in. ''Well keep your guard up. If you see that thing, stay away. I don't want any more of my team dead.'' I snapped, sounding harsher than I wanted.
I got ok's from all of them. Which I took as a good sign. Climbing the mountains, I searched for more tracks. It was cold, and I was shivering now, more than I did before. Pushing that thought aside, I saw those same burn marks come from a cave, and a large one too. ''Guys, the subject came out of a cave. And if my feelings right, it did go northeast from here. Keep your guard up!'' I snapped into the radio as I ran back down the side of it and into the woods. Some how, I heard the generals voice come back. ''Listen carefully Wolfe. Your messing with the rules here. I'm giving you one chance to show you know your rank and are not disobeying direct orders from your superior.'' He barked into the radio, but again I stopped him. ''I started this. And I'm going to finish it.'' I snarled as I ignored his hollering on the other end. ''Once I find him, I'm bringing him in.'' I added, shutting my radio off. Just long brought so he'd disconnect from the line.
I caught a glimpse of a flaming tail out of the corner of my eye. I ran after it pulling out my holstered gun. I saw those burn marks in the snow, following them even as I lost sight of my target. I growled as I lost him completely. My team came from all other directions, meeting me in the same place. ''I caught sight of it. Now where did it go?'' Casey said, looking frustrated. I looked at him and sighed. ''We need to find it. No matter what. Before it reaches the city.'' I said as I took off once more running past them all and straight ahead. I figured it would try and cross the river. If I did I could cut it off in the clearing around it. Smiling I heard my team run after me, and I figured they wondered what I was up to.
I stopped hearing the general's voice come across my comm. link. ''That's a negative Captain. Well send out a sky patrol to take care of this. Come back and report what you've learned.'' I ran into the clearing as I chased the creature. Seeing how the vague description was actually highly accurate. The creature whipped around to face me. Pulling it's teeth back, and snarling at me. Having that so called syrum in me, had its effects. I snarled at it, baring my own teeth. Even as my team watched me as if I was looking it. I took out my gun only to drop as another gun was fired, hitting the creature and getting a cry of pain ans surprise from it. It dropped, and I stood up, hoping the thing wasn't dead. I sighed as I saw its chest rise and fall. I covered my ears as the helicopter landed and the general hopped out, advancing over to me. As soon As the helicopter's engine stopped roaring, did I uncover my ears. ''You have got alot of explaining to do Wolfe!'' He yelled coming over to me. I still hadn't fully gotten over my surge of adrenaline when I was facing off with the creature. I snarled at him only to have my mouth covered my Casey's hand. ''Wolfe, stop.'' He said as I fought against him. I stopped struggling and looked at him with a glare. I growled in the back of my throat before he let me go. I looked at the General. And man did he look mad. ''Sorry sir. But I finished what I started.'' I said as I glared at Casey only to get an emotionless glance back.
General nodded. ''You did. But now you have to explain. Why did you go against direct orders from a superior.'' He snapped as I turned to face fully. ''Here's the truth. I don't like to be tied down like an animal. So here's a soldier with a bit of an anger management problem and a keen sense of freedom.'' I said to him brushing past and walking towards the creature. I didn't touch it, I just looked. It looked odd, like what a devil could and would conjure up to freak everybody. I heard my general sigh from behind me. ''Get it caged. We're shipping him to the Arabian desert. There are no mountains for miles.'' He said as I went towards the helicopter and picked up the cage with Jonas and Gunther' s help. Moving it over I caged the thing before shutting the door. '' You better pack your bags Wolfe. Because your comin' along too.'' He said as I looked at him with narrowed eyes. ''What about us.'' Casey said to him as he looked at me. ''You staying put. He'll be back. And after a month in the desert, maybe a new attitude.'' The general replied as the helicopter roared to life. I didn't bother covering my ears. The less hearing, the better. Casey looked at me. ''Wolfe....'' He started at I stared off into space. I turned away from them all. Unsure of what to say. I didn't say anything as we ventured back to base. And once I got to my room, I slammed the door and laid on my bed, noticing that that dent was still in my desk. I smiled and closed my eyes. 'If my friend were here to keep me in check I wouldn't be in this mess' I thought as I rested my head on my pillow and fell asleep.

I listened to the general as we walked through the labs. The Arabian desert was hot, and couldn't help but to pant at that. The soldiers that were stationed out here really didn't seem to be bothered by the heat. But me, I'm used to the cold. He showed me where this thing was placed. I gasped as I saw it hooked up into various tubes that led to different instruments. But it was in a tank filled with water. It had a mask over its face, which looked to be supporting its breathing. There were burn marks on its paws and face. But all in all it seemed to be fine. I shivered at the thought of the scientist placing me into those tubes and running diagnostic tests and other things on me. Shaking my head I walked up to the tank. I noticed its eyes were open and looking around. Only it's body was immobile. I also noticed that it didn't have its cloak or bone stuff on it. And it's Fire was gone. A scientist came up behind me and chuckled. ''Such an amazing creature, isn't he.'' He said as I glanced at him in the corner of my eye. ''We found its armour was removeable. And his fire, apart of him.'' He added. I nodded that answered nose of my questions but not all of them. I heard him talk again. ''He's alive. And fully aware of the stuff happening around him. Only it's body is immobilized.'' He added as I nodded, finally getting some of the questions off my chest.
We walked out. The general walking beside me. ''Have fun Wolfe. And don't go all rabid on us. We don't need another loss.'' He said with a grim look on his face. I nodded, smiling and claped his shoulder. ''Remind me to go all rabid on you when I get back.'' I ground out, liking the feeling of hate rising up inside of me. Without another word I went back to where I was staying. And I still couldn't get the creature out of my mind. And with that I slept all afternoon.
I woke up to something smashing. I was only a few doors down from the labs and I saw something walk by. It was more of a trot but I didn't care. I got up and walked towards my door opening it, my mouth gaped open as I saw the creature with out its bone-looking stuff look back at me before running down the hall. It took a left and I ran after it. I turned the corner and saw it with the stuff back on. Fire igniting its paws and down its back. I gasped and jumped back and away as it charged towards me snarling. And ran towards the exit. I chased after it as it burst through the door and headed out into the cool desert. It felt great. Great to be out and running again like old times. I tossed my head back and howled as I ran past the gate and after the creature as it fled deeper and deeper Into the desert. With me having that syrum in me, I could still see in the dark. I locked onto my target and chased after it.
I followed it to the hajar mountains even as I glanced back and saw three helicopters fly in and the base's alarm go off. I followed it into the mountains and stopped. Panting heavily. I heard the roaring sounds of the dune buggy' s coming. My eyes fixed on a familiar voice and a wave of a hand. I looked at Casey as he jumped out and ran up to me with Daniel and Jonas behind him. ''Wolfe! Why'd you run off. General's furious.'' He said as I growled at them. I heard a growl answer me and I turned to see it sitting there. I turned back to it and made a step forward. It stood up and ran off into the cave. My first instinct was to give chase and I ran after it. Casey and the others followed me, along with Kyle and Axel who were stationed out here in the desert. Yes. I know alot of people. I ran into the cave when I stopped hearing a cracking sound from beneath me. I shoved Casey back as he was running up to me.
He stood up and looked at me, but stopped moving when the cracking got louder. I helped when the floor caved in from under me. Casey dove for the edge and clasped my hand in his. I dug my feet into the side as I saw nothing but a black abyss below. I shot him my first fearful glance in a long time. ''Don't worry Wolfe.... I got you.'' He panted as the others grabbed him and started pulling. I heard the ground crack from beneath them. ''No!'' I snapped as Casey continued to pull. He looked at me with a mixture of worry and fear on his face. ''Don't the floor's unstable. Let me go.'' I said not even trying to help them pull me up anymore. Casey shook his head keeping my hand clasped to his. ''No Wolfe.'' He said, I swore I heard his voice crack. I smiled even as his grasp was slipping. ''Just get out of here. Don't worry about me.'' I said as I let go of his grip and fell. Casey screamed my name even as I continued to fall. I blacked out, and felt the breath leave me as I landed on something jagged.
I awoke with a feeling of no pain. I looked at some gate with that creature sitting there. ''Who are you'' I asked baring my teeth at the thing. It chuckled. ''I'm Lycan, ruler of the underworld. And your Captain Wolfe.'' He said standing and walking towards me. ''I would also like to congratulate you in failing your mission. It was quite amusing.'' He said chucking. I backed up, growling. Lycan stopped. ''Peace Kirin.'' He growled, making me stop. ''Come, would you like to see where you are.'' He asked turning and walking down a tunnel. ''I thought you said were in the underworld.'' I bit out following him. We came across an open tunnel with Casey, Daniel, Jonas, Kyle, and Axel searing for me. Casey was crying and Daniel's face held a grim look. Kyle and Axel moved a large rock and uncovered half of my body. Casey cried dropping to his knees next to my motionless body. ''But I'm right here. I'm not dead. Am I?'' I asked Lycan looking at him. I gasped as I heard the dead rise up in a chorus of moans and cries. ''Quiet!'' Lycan snarled, silencing the dead's cries once more. He looked and me and nodded once. ''You are. And what you are seeing is happening as we speak. They can't see you or me.'' He said as Casey pulled my body from the debris. ''Am I dead forever then?'' I asked him, watching Casey attempt to bring me back.
He sighed before looking at me simply. ''I'll grant you access to the real world only once. Is this your wish?'' He said, holding a tone full of ice. Like he was going to regret this. ''What's the catch?'' I asked him as his tail swished impatiently. ''You do not tell a soul about me.'' He said as I thought of another thing. ''Have you encountered a person named Logan?'' I asked. As if it was a cue, Logan stepped out of the shadows and towards me. I looked at him and Logan smiled. ''Can Logan be brought back as well?'' I asked, looking at him. It would be fantastic to have my old friend back. Logan's expression turned from surprise to one of a grim look. Lycan shook his head no. ''I give all the dead a chance to go back. But Logan wishes to stay dead.'' He said simply sitting down. I nodded walking to him. ''Its good to see you old friend.'' I said, wishing I could hug him, but knowing I couldn't. Logan nodded, giving me a hug. I hugged him back, not caring that we had an audience of the dead. I didn't want to let him go, but looking over my shoulder I could see that Casey was getting desperate. Even as the others were telling him to give up.
I let go of Logan and stepped back. ''See you soon old friend.'' I said not even caring that I was crying. Logan smiled that warming smile all over again. ''Wouldn't miss it for the world Wolfe.'' He said back as I looked to Lycan. ''Yes, it is my wish.'' I said. Leaving out the part of that I'm going to miss my friend. Lycan stood up and swished his tail. ''Step through that cave entrance and you'll return to your body.'' He said as I ran for the entrance. Yelling good-bye to Logan over my shoulder. I heard him call good-bye back and I blacked out. I felt a burning pain go through me as I woke up with a cry. I realized I wasn't in the underworld any longer. I was in the arms of Casey who hugged me and didn't let me go. ''Your alive!'' He cried as the others rushed over. Casey slung me onto his back and led the way out. ''I thought you were dead!'' He exclaimed as I closed my eyes. Remembering Logan. I cried again, but because I missed my friend. But to know that he was there was good enough for me.
Once we got back to base Casey stayed with me as I was taken care of by the medics. I didn't tell a would about the underworld or where the creature went. I didn't even tell anyone where Logan was. I realized Casey was as loyal as Logan was. When the general came in, he asked for a report. I claimed I didn't remember anything after the fall. But when General grasped my shirt and screamed at me for my report, I snarled at him and dug my nails across his face. Of course it wouldn't transfer, I'd have to be a wolf for that to happen. General reeled back and cried out as I watched him. Casey growled at him, baring his own teeth. I didn't know what was going in. Casey had It too? I realized there was this mocking look in his eyes and I swatted him with my good arm. ''Bad Casey, bad, bad boy'' I scolded as the general looked at me. ''You'll regret this.'' He said as I threw my head back. ''I regret nothing!!!'' I howled as Casey laughed. I actually howled after that as Casey chased General off. I realized we were still in the desert. Casey looked at me suddenly. ''Hey Kirin. I have a name for that thing now.'' He said as I looked at him almost expectantly. ''Lets call him the monster.'' He said. I flinched. We were so going to have to work on that name.
